Midsommer Baroque welcomes it's audience for the 4th time this year. It is the only festival of it's kind in the capital of Denmark, placed in the beautiful and historic part of Copenhagen called Frederiksberg.
The festival is presenting baroque music at the very highest international level. The festival orchestra is the highly acclaimed Arte Dei Suonatori, based in Poznan, Poland and singers as well as instrumental soloists are hand plucked from among the very best in their field.
In 2012 there will be 10 concerts, spread out over beautiful spaces surrounding Frederiksberg Garden - Frederiksberg church and congregation house, The Knight's Hall of Frederiksberg Castle, The Chapel attached to the castle, "Cisternerne" under ground and a little charming museum called "Bakkehusmuseet".
In the programme book there will be articles about the venues and the music written by Allan Rasmussen, Michael Hemmingsen and Claus Johansen.
We are looking very much forward to welcoming you all for Midsommer Baroque 2012!
Enjoy! |
